What Do You See?

What emotions or ideas spring to mind when you look at this image? Why does/doesn't it appeal to you? Could you connect this to the topic of your blog? How?

  1. In the image there is a cowd of people, which gives me a feel of a concert or music festival. This image appeals to me because I have been apart of a concert and music festival crowd, and it was a great experience. I could not connect this image with my blog because although it is a good picture, it has nothing to do with fashion, hair, makeup, work, or education.

  2. When I see this image I feel nostalgic for the days of going to punk shows at the turn of the century. It's appeal is in the smoke-filled roomed full of people rocking out. Then again, it could be a riot, which is just as punk rock as a punk show. This could easily connect to my blog, as my blog focuses on video game music, and there have been quite a few punk songs featured in video games.

  3. This image makes me think about empowerment or people trying to rally for something that they want or something that they want changed. I can connect to this image in a small way because I am someone that has gone to rallies and have participated in a few marches for Civil Rights.

  4. It may seem odd and slightly abstract yet I get a feeling of excitement. When looking at this picture I think that this could be a picture taken in the sepia setting while at the color run. I find this photo appealing because within the next couple weeks I will be doing the color run with friends and family. In a way this could be connected to my bog because this gathering could be used to acquire donations and with those donations it is possible to help going green.

  5. When I look at the sea of people raising their arms I think of community, strangers bonding over music and freedom of speech. My blog is aimed at free spirits. So, yes, this picture would be appropriate for my blog.

  6. I think of the word "solidarity" when I see this image. There's a group of people united for, ostensibly, some shared cause, idea, or event. In some ways, though, this image evokes loneliness from me, so it's not terribly appealing. It's like that old adage about feeling loneliest in a crowd (such as striding down Michigan Avenue in Chicago). In my blog, I could use something like this to highlight the feelings of loneliness and disillusionment in John Cheever's Shady Hill.

  7. The first thing I though when I viewed this photo was, zombie apocalypse. It Looks dusty, dirty, disorienting, and chaotic. The background reminds of of a "whats to come" scenario. It appeals to me because I am a horror film fan. I could connect this photo to my blog but in a completely different context. The photo could represent parents and teachers uniting as one to serve the common goal of educating children.

  8. This image appeals to me because there is something to be said about a group of people who get together in an effort to support something they love. These people could be protesting for a cause, fist-pumping for their favorite band, or praising and worshiping at a large church gathering. Whatever they are doing, they are gathered together because they believe in something. Their hands are raised because they feel some strong emotion that allows them to be motivated to raise their hands. I could connect this to the topic of my blog because it's about getting motivated to exercise. Maybe things are better done in groups. Maybe people are more inspired to do something when they have their friends by their side to cheer them on and support them. I could blog about why exercising with friends is a good motivational tool.
